10-week Summer Welding Institute

West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) will offer a 10-week Welding Institute over the summer starting June 2 through August 12, 2022. The course will run Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. daily.
The Summer Welding Institute is designed to provide the skills necessary to enter the workforce immediately upon completion. Participants in this short-term intensive welding program will complete courses that includes OSHA 10, SMAW I & II, blueprint reading, MIG, TIG and essential soft skills to help prepare for a career. Certificates will be awarded in OSHA 10 General Industry and students will have the opportunity to test for welding certifications in SMAW vertical, and 3 position plate welds, MIG and TIG plate welds, and pipe welds.

The Summer Welding Institute will take place in WVNCC’s Industrial Technology Center on their Wheeling Campus. The cost of the program in $4,599 and financial aid in available.
