Robert J. Krall, president of the WVNCC Foundation Board of Trustees since 2014, will be honored at the event, sponsored by the Wheeling campus Friends of the College and the Foundation, to be held beginning at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Education Center, 17th and Eoff streets downtown.

Dr Zoot, a show/dance/swing band based in Pittsburgh, will provide music and entertainment for the evening that will take attendees back to the 1920s/Gatsby era. With that theme in mind, those in attendance are sure to be served a sumptuous gourmet dinner prepared by the college’s Culinary Arts chefs and students, organizers said. Also featured will be silent and live auctions.

Dr. Vicki L. Riley, president of WVNCC, said, “I look forward to our premier event every year, and this will be a special one. I have enjoyed working with Rob Krall and it is always a pleasure to be able to greet the college’s friends and benefactors. Their support is invaluable.”

Nick Zervos, president of the Wheeling campus Friends board who also sits on the Foundation board, said, “I have watched and appreciated Rob Krall’s special brand of leadership for many years. His low-key yet vibrantly detailed approach serves West Virginia Northern very well. Rob is highly deserving of this recognition.”

Rana Spurlock, institutional advancement coordinator at Northern, said, “We have been planning this event for months and are so pleased those in attendance will be able to honor Rob Krall, have a gourmet meal and be wowed by Dr Zoot. This will be a fun way to assist your community college.”
