New Martinsville to Host Film

Posted 10/31/12

The premiere of a short documentary film, "Veteran's Day 2012," chronicling the stories and histories of area veterans, will be held at noon Monday, Nov. 12, at the New Martinsville campus of West Virginia Northern Community College.

New Martinsville Campus Dean Larry Tackett said that in addition to the 13-minute film there will be an open discussion session during which veterans, community members and students will be able to discuss the veterans' stories. Light refreshments will be provided.

Tackett said, “Highlight of the event will be local filmmaker Chuck Clegg’s film which features local veterans and veterans’ histories from Wetzel County.” There will be several photographic prints provided by Clegg and WVNCC given away as door prizes. All are welcome to attend.

Clegg is a veteran and is active in veteran affairs. He is best known for his weekly column "Through the Lens" that appears in the Wetzel Chronicle. He is an accomplished videographer and filmmaker.
