Members of the club met earlier this month at WVNCC’s Weirton campus to dedicate the plaque. Rotarian Wilson was a certified public accountant in Weirton for many years and also treasurer of the Weirton Rotary Club. After his death in 2013, the club created a new scholarship in his name at West Virginia Northern.

The scholarship of $500 will be awarded every year to an outstanding business or accounting student from Weirton who attends the Weirton campus.

Weirton Rotary Club President George Kondik said he is “proud of the club’s long association with WVNCC and happy that the club could honor Dan Wilson in this way.” Kondik also is a member of the WVNCC Foundation Board of Trustees.
