West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) is inviting high school students, and their parents, to a series of Early Access Information Nights, taking place in August. These events are designed for students to learn about the opportunity to earn college credit while still attending high school.

High school students, including those home-schooled, can attend WVNCC and take Early Access classes starting any semester after completing their sophomore year for $25 per credit hour. Early Access students who successfully complete college-level courses can apply these credits toward their graduation requirements at Northern and/or transfer the credits to other colleges or universities. WVNCC also offers a Dual Enrollment Credit program, which is an agreement between high schools and WVNCC for students to earn high and college credit simultaneously. If students enroll in the Dual Credit program, the WV Department of Education offers free college credit to students choosing certain CTE courses through the state’s Level Up Project.

These information sessions will provide an opportunity to meet with WVNCC Early Access staff and gather essential information about Early Access and Dual Enrollment opportunities. Light refreshments will be provided.

Attendees are welcome to join anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. There will be approximately 15-minute program overview presentations at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. during all sessions.
