For the first time in its history, West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) launched a virtual tour option for prospective students. Although each of the three campuses are offering on-campus tours again, the virtual tour gives those who would prefer to see the campus virtually a safe alternative.

The virtual tour showcases buildings, labs, and classrooms on all three of WVNCC Campuses: New Martinsville, Wheeling and Weirton. Prospective students can check out some of the most important aspects of WVNCC through the virtual tour, including the location of the services centers, libraries, academic support centers, student lounges, and more. This gives students the opportunity to become familiar with the labs they may be learning in before beginning classes. Depending on their interest, students may want to use the virtual tour to take a closer look at the welding labs, nursing labs or culinary kitchen. The tour features external aerial shots of the campuses, as well as videos and 360 degree views of interior spaces.

“Our new virtual tour helps build familiarity with our campuses and spaces which is critical to prospective students,” commented WVNCC President, Dr. Daniel Mosser. “Especially during this time, we want our students to be comfortable with college and, although we welcome them on campus for in-person tours, this is a great option to take in all the innovative spaces we have to offer from the comfort of their home. The virtual tour is just another example of how we are able to meet our students where they are and offer them online options.”

The virtual tour was designed in partnership with Germain Media and supported by the WVNCC Foundation. It is available at tour.wvncc.edu and under the “Schedule a Tour” tab on the homepage.
