Dr. Andrew Langrehr
President
Dr. Andrew Langrehr serves as the ninth President of West Virginia Northern Community College, bringing more than 25 years of experience in higher education leadership, academic affairs, and student success.
Before joining WVNCC, Dr. Langrehr served as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at St. Louis Community College, where he provided leadership for campus presidents, online education, institutional research, curriculum and assessment, accreditation, and strategic planning across the multi-campus institution. During his tenure, he led initiatives that expanded workforce programs, improved student success, strengthened academic support services, increased graduation rates, and grew enrollment through high school partnerships.
Prior to serving as Vice Chancellor, Dr. Langrehr held several leadership and faculty positions at St. Louis Community College, including Vice President for Academic Affairs, Academic Dean for Science and Technology, Department Chair, and associate professor of chemistry. Earlier in his career, he taught chemistry at Jefferson College and Kirkwood Community College.
Dr. Langrehr earned a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Iowa, and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Central College.
As President, Dr. Langrehr is committed to advancing WVNCC's mission through student-centered leadership, academic excellence, workforce development, and strong partnerships that support the communities the College serves.
