Tuition Assistance

Higher Education Adult Part-Time Student (HEAPS)

HEAPS Workforce Development Component enables West Virginia students who demonstrate financial need to enroll in a post-secondary certificate, industry recognized credential, or other skill development program in a demand occupation in West Virginia.

Eligible students may receive awards of up to $2000 toward tuition, required testing and required supplies not covered by other scholarships and/or grants.

Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually and apply with their institution to be considered.

2026-2027 Continuing Education Scholarship Application

Students in Continuing Education coursework can submit this application to be considered for institutional scholarships. Scholarship awards are subject to available funds, financial need, and other factors. Students must be registered for one or more Continuing Education classes and must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered.
